Polenta

amount preparation
Butter/Unsalted 4 tablespoons
Cheese/Parmesan 1.5 cups finely grated
Corn/Meal 1 cup
Milk/Whole 3 cups
Salt/Kosher 4 teaspoon
Water 3 cups

Directions

  1. Brink milk & water to boil over medium-high heat in a medium saucepan
  2. Reduce heat to medium
  3. Whisking constantly, gradually add polenta
  4. Bring to simmer
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover pan & cook.
  6. Whisking every ~5minutes
  7. Once thickened & no longer gritty (30-35min) remove from heat
  8. Add butter, cheese & salt
  9. Whisk until consistency of porridge (~1min)
